Ham and Cheese Sliders

I had girls night at my house this past Friday night  which meant I had to make some kind of food. I wanted to make something that we could also pack up and take on our fishing trip Saturday. So i turned to these Ham and Cheese sliders. Let me warn you these are very addicting! I am still getting used to how to take pics with directions lol so here's just a picture of the finished product!

Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Roll Sliders:
2 packages of Hawaiian rolls
1 lb virginia ham
1 lb swiss cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
3 T worcestershire sauce
2 T dijon mustard
a dash of onion powder or dried onions
2 9x13 pans

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Cut the rolls in half (you can do this while they are all together or you can do it individually)
3. Mix together butter, worcestershire sauce, mustard and onions and set aside
4. Place one piece of swiss cheese and one piece of ham on each roll.
5. Use a basting brush and spread mixture on top of meat and cheese as well as on top of roll
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes
7. Enjoy!

Fun filled weekend

We had a very busy yet fun family weekend! This was Lucas and Mommy's first fishing trip! Zack's family has always been into hunting and fishing and my family not so much. I have always been open to the fishing thing however you wouldn't catch me hunting or even eating deer or rabbits or anything of that sort. This chick sticks to the basics, cow, chicken and pig oh and fish!

We went out on a charter boat in the chesapeake bay with Zack, Lucas, me, my mother in law, father in law, brother in law and his girlfriend.(Nathan had to sit this one out and spent the day with his Nona,my mom) The weather was absolutely gorgeous. We had a blast! I would definitely go again. Lucas caught 21 spot fish! The most of anyone by a long shot! Since he couldn't reel in the big ones he liked playing with the spot fish lol And do you know who caught the biggest rock fish....well this girl right here :) The very first one we caught and the biggest.

Heres a few pictures from our day. We also got some pics and video with our go pro camera so more to come later. If you happen to be in this area and are looking for a charter boat we used this guy and had a great experience. He was great with the experienced and inexperienced.

Sunday we went to church to check out where the boy will be getting baptized in a few short weeks. Then headed to visit Zack's grandparents. After that we headed to his parents for a family fish fry to eat some of the yummy rockfish we caught! What did you do this weekend?!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Classroom

So let's start getting to the crafty stuff. I love crafts, anything you can be creative with (photography, scrapbooking, parties, baking you name it) Prior to being a dental receptionist I was a preschool teacher for a local learning center for 4 years. I loved it, I love the kids and the people and all the fun you get to have. Why did I leave you ask? Didn't pay well, lots of work outside of work and it became to big of a corporation for me. Oh and they changed their minds all the time. For example always changing the guidelines of your classroom. This was when I re did my room to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Being a total Disney fanatic I had so much fun.

Ok lets get the part you came for :) I only have 2 pictures of the room unfortunately.
So one of our requirements was to have some kind of kindness tree. We used Chip and Dale's tree for this! We made the tree out of no fade brown butcher paper. We used no fade green butcher paper for the grass and then laminated that and the acorns at our local staples. We then could use the acorns to write what kind things the children had done. For example Janey held the door open for Jack.

This masterpiece ;) was the circle time board (The Clubhouse). We used all no fade butcher paper for this as well. The main part of the head was the size of a hula hoop. We used Mickey's shoe as our daily schedule, the slide to display our numbers and you can't see it but on the wall to the left is the big Mickey glove balloon. We used that for our "Handy Helpers".
I found the alphabet heads at an awesome website www.teacherspayteachers.com the best part about them is they are free! Just download and print :) My other favorite part about them was all the letters were Mickey heads except for vowels they were Minnie. Here is a direct link to those but I suggest checking out the whole website they have multiple other Disney/Mickey things as well. So we cut them out, laminated them and put them up. I am trying to get more pic of the room and if I do I will post some other things as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy 4th of July

Hi all! It's been a bit but I'm trying to get into the groove of writing more posts. I hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July! We actually didn't have any cookouts or parties to attend this year. We spent most of the day at home getting some chores done and then went to see the local parade with my brother in law and nieces. Here's some pics from the parade!

After the parade we all went back to our house, ordered some pizzas, and went to the playground until it was time to light off fireworks :) We had a great day. Anytime spent with my little family is time I cherish. So what did YOU do for the 4th?
